What Does Poetry Bring to Business? Join us at The Polymath Festival

What does poetry bring to business? The Editors at the Napkin Poetry Review will be speaking at the Polymath Festival on February 13 at 6 pm GMT/1 pm EST, and we welcome you to join our panel and writing workshop by registering at https://www.davinci-network.com/. Hosted by the DaVinci Network, the Polymath Festival is “the world’s first major festival of ideas dedicated to celebrating many-sided human potential and exploring interdisciplinary solutions to complex world problems.”

Though the subjects of capital structures might not seem especially compatible with poetry, the Napkin Poetry Review editors present poetry as a problem-solving tool based on scientific and interdisciplinary research. By offering insights on how entrepreneurs, physicians, and innovators such as Dana Gioia, Rafael de Campo, and Steve Jobs have incorporated poetry into their daily lives, we hope to highlight poetry’s capacity to improve communication, cognitive functioning, emotional regulation, and conceptual thinking. In this panel, we will also share exercises to help you apply poetic tools to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.
